I'm really enjoying your Viet Nam story. You bring your reader right along side of you!
A helicopter pilot who was shot down at least once in Viet-Nam was my largest influence for joining the Army in 1979. Not because I wanted to see combat, but because he was a cool dude who had survived some serious stuff in his life and I wanted to be like him. 22 years later, the Infantry was the best thing that ever happened to this immature punk. Military life isn't for everyone - I believe I've schemed to the point that neither of my two sons will join a military service - because that type of step-up is not necessary for them to succeed in life. But boy-oh-boy, military service definitely squares away a small number of people on this planet who probably couldn't have made it in life without having a bit of discipline jammed down their existence. A great Hub IBDangerousDan, I'm looking forward to Story #5. SK
I am your first fan. Looking forward to reading more. How about a story on that truck?
